How to stream your church service to Facebook Live

Facebook Live meets people where they already are — in their feed, on their phone, often people who'd never search out a church website. Streaming from your church Page (not a personal profile) with proper software gives you a clean, reliable broadcast.

1. Open Live Producer

On your church Page, start a new live video and choose Streaming software (Live Producer). This is the option that works with OBS and vMix, rather than the phone camera.

2. Copy the stream key

Live Producer shows a Server URL and a Stream key. In your encoder's Settings → Stream, choose Facebook Live or Custom and paste them in. You can enable a persistent stream key so you don't have to re-copy it each week.

3. Add a title and description

Write a clear title ("Sunday Service — [date]") and a short description. Good titles help the video surface later when people scroll past or search.

4. Set quality for the feed

• 720p or 1080p at 30 fps works well.
• Keep bitrate reasonable (~2,500–4,000 kbps for 720p) for stable delivery.
• As always, confirm your audio feed is clean before going live.

5. Go live

Start your encoder, confirm the preview in Live Producer, then click Go Live. Have someone welcome online viewers and reply to comments — engagement pushes the video to more feeds. When the service ends, stop the stream; the video stays on your Page.

Automatic scripture on your Facebook stream

Since your encoder is already producing the broadcast, add on-screen verses for free: TajiCast listens to your audio, detects the verse, and drops a lower-third into OBS or vMix that Facebook then shows — helpful for viewers who joined mid-sermon and missed the reference.
